It's been awhile since I blogged here. Too long! And, I've missed my little blog with its small, but lovely following. Work has been crazy and the kids have been sick (don't they just always go together!). For awhile I wondered if I could continue doing it all. Here's what I've learned over the last few, crazier than usual weeks: So long as I remain dedicated to my yoga practices and implement the lessons and wisdom my teachers have provided me, I really can juggle all the roles and hats I wear in my life with some degree of grace (most days!). So, here's the top five things I've been trying to do daily to make sure yoga and other things I love are truly a part of each day.
1) Asana: Do at least 15 minutes of yoga every day and make it tailored exactly to what I need that day.
2) Attitude: Ask myself at least once a day if my actions are kind. The challenge with asking this question is that, yes, there are times the answer is "no," but it all starts with awareness, right?!
3) Awareness: Notice something beautiful each day. A couple days ago, it was the cat featured on this post, which our family saw on our evening walk.
4) Attune: Remember to breath deep into my belly and feel my feet on the ground at least once a day. A wonderful reminder from a fellow yoga teacher a few years ago as a simple, yet effective tool to get grounded quickly!
5) Act: Do something daily that I love and continues to move my life in the direction I want it to go.
